Sin embargo, muchas de estas intervenciones con hombres y ni\u00f1os (al igual que las dirigidas a mujeres y ni\u00f1as) han seguido siendo de peque\u00f1a escala y de corto plazo, y por lo general no han logrado ser sostenibles m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la vida \u00fatil de los proyectos dirigidos por ONG.<\/p>\n<p>Para abordar estos desaf\u00edos, MenCare se asocia <a href=\"https:\/\/www.equimundo.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Equimundo<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.puntosdeencuentro.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Puntos de encuentro<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/ecpatguatemala.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ECPAT Guatemala<\/a>, y <a href=\"https:\/\/www.equimundo.org\/2017\/12\/08\/first-ever-regional-training-initiative-rti-works-strengthen-capacity-build-network-gender-justice-advocates-central-america\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MenEngage Am\u00e9rica Latina<\/a> han desarrollado la primera Iniciativa Regional de Capacitaci\u00f3n (RTI) en Am\u00e9rica Central. Lanzada el 27 de noviembre de 2017 en la Ciudad de Guatemala, Guatemala, la RTI tiene como objetivo aumentar la capacidad de las organizaciones de la sociedad civil locales, fortaleciendo sus habilidades y conocimientos relacionados con las mejores pr\u00e1cticas para involucrar a los hombres y los ni\u00f1os en la igualdad de g\u00e9nero y en el cuidado, y construir una red regional de futuros l\u00edderes y defensores de la justicia de g\u00e9nero. Esta iniciativa re\u00fane a participantes de El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, M\u00e9xico y Nicaragua.<\/p>\n<p>Durante seis meses, los participantes completar\u00e1n dos cursos intensivos de capacitaci\u00f3n que abarcar\u00e1n no solo la teor\u00eda y la base emp\u00edrica de la justicia de g\u00e9nero y las masculinidades, sino tambi\u00e9n c\u00f3mo integrar en la pr\u00e1ctica estas ideas y la investigaci\u00f3n local para fortalecer su trabajo en el campo. El primer curso comenz\u00f3 en Guatemala con el lanzamiento de RTI, y el segundo curso se llevar\u00e1 a cabo en Nicaragua en la primavera de 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Durante el primer curso, los facilitadores de Puntos de Encuentro presentaron las \u00faltimas investigaciones sobre paternidad y cuidado de los hombres, incluidas las de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mencare.org\/es\/resources\/state-worlds-fathers-latin-america-caribbean-summary\/\"><em>Estado mundial de los padres: Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribe<\/em><\/a> y evidencia de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mencare.org\/es\/what-we-do\/programming\/program-p\/\"><em>Programa P<\/em><\/a>, un manual para involucrar a los hombres en la paternidad, el cuidado y la salud materna e infantil. Los participantes pudieron participar en actividades como \u201cEl legado de mi padre\u201d y \u201cJuego de roles en la sala de partos\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Cada participante de RTI ha redactado un \u201ccompromiso de acci\u00f3n\u201d personal, su promesa y plan para aplicar las lecciones que aprende durante la capacitaci\u00f3n en su trabajo y sus comunidades. Estos compromisos incluyen una serie de proyectos, como el desarrollo de peque\u00f1as campa\u00f1as de promoci\u00f3n para ampliar la licencia parental y trabajar con trabajadores de la salud para promover una mayor inclusi\u00f3n de los padres en la salud y el desarrollo de los ni\u00f1os. A cada participante tambi\u00e9n se le asignar\u00e1 un mentor que lo apoyar\u00e1 y trabajar\u00e1 con \u00e9l para superar cualquier desaf\u00edo que pueda enfrentar.<\/p>\n<p>La RTI Centroamericana cuenta con el apoyo de la Fundaci\u00f3n Summit, el UNFPA, la Organizaci\u00f3n Panamericana de la Salud, WeEffect y el Fondo Mundial para la Infancia.
