El 13 de junio de 2018, la Red MenEngage de Uganda y Sonke Gender Justice, en colaboraci\u00f3n con la Embajada de Suecia en Kampala, organizaron un evento en el que se present\u00f3 el informe\u00a0La situaci\u00f3n de los padres en el mundo: es hora de actuar<\/em><\/a>\u00a0Informe elaborado por Equimundo como una publicaci\u00f3n de MenCare. Sonke Gender Justice y Equimundo act\u00faan como coordinadores de la campa\u00f1a global MenCare. informe<\/a> estudia el papel de los padres en el cuidado de los ni\u00f1os, el trabajo dom\u00e9stico y el desarrollo infantil e investiga los desaf\u00edos para lograr una divisi\u00f3n equitativa del trabajo de cuidado entre hombres y mujeres en todo el mundo. El evento foment\u00f3 debates sobre los esfuerzos que deben realizar las partes interesadas para mejorar la participaci\u00f3n de los padres en el cuidado de los ni\u00f1os.<\/p>\n

El lanzamiento del informe fue seguido por una ceremonia de entrega de premios del concurso de fotograf\u00eda de 2018.\u00a0"<\/strong>Yo y mi pap\u00e1,<\/a>"<\/strong>\u00a0El concurso, organizado por la Embajada de Suecia en Kampala, destac\u00f3 a los padres ugandeses como modelos positivos y contribuyentes importantes a la hora de moldear la vida de los ni\u00f1os. Se pidi\u00f3 a los ni\u00f1os que enviaran una foto de ellos haciendo una actividad favorita con su padre, junto con una descripci\u00f3n que respondiera qu\u00e9 significa ser un buen padre.
