En marzo, el coordinador de MenCare Guatemala ECPAT<\/a> coorganiz\u00f3 ocho talleres para proveedores de atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica en torno a temas de paternidad activa y cuidado, brindando capacitaci\u00f3n a un total de 55 profesionales de la salud.<\/p>\n

El objetivo de los talleres fue capacitar a los proveedores de salud sobre c\u00f3mo lograr que los hombres participen en la salud materna e infantil, c\u00f3mo coordinar la educaci\u00f3n grupal para futuros padres y c\u00f3mo crear espacios cl\u00ednicos que apoyen a las madres y los padres. La metodolog\u00eda de los talleres se bas\u00f3 en Programa P<\/a>, Manual de MenCare sobre la participaci\u00f3n de los hombres en la salud materna, sexual y reproductiva.<\/p>\n

En el taller participaron ginec\u00f3logos, obstetras, pediatras, enfermeras y asistentes, psic\u00f3logos y administradores de hospitales y cl\u00ednicas de la Ciudad de Guatemala, Villanueva y Amatitl\u00e1n.<\/p>\n

Los talleres fueron parte de la iniciativa m\u00e1s amplia \u201cMenCare en el sector de salud p\u00fablica: involucrando a los proveedores de salud y a los hombres en pos de la igualdad de g\u00e9nero y la salud materna, sexual y reproductiva en Guatemala y Nicaragua\u201d. Fueron coorganizados por APROFAM<\/a>, una organizaci\u00f3n sin fines de lucro que brinda servicios de salud a poblaciones pobres y vulnerables, y financiada por el Fundaci\u00f3n Summit<\/a> y el Fundaci\u00f3n Roble<\/a> a trav\u00e9s de una subvenci\u00f3n de Equimundo<\/a>, Co-coordinador de MenCare.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
