Em 30 de setembro de 2017, o Escrit\u00f3rio Nacional da Ge\u00f3rgia do Fundo de Popula\u00e7\u00e3o das Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas (UNFPA), a ONG We Care e a Federa\u00e7\u00e3o Georgiana de Futebol sediaram a \u201cFathers Cup\u201d, um campeonato de futebol para pais e filhos, como parte da campanha MenCare do pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n

O campeonato, que foi realizado na David Petriashvili Arena em Tbilisi, foi aberto a todos os pais que se registraram antes do jogo, incluindo aqueles que assumiram o papel de treinador de equipe. Os pais treinaram equipes de quatro membros cada, compostas por meninas e meninos de 8 a 12 anos. A participa\u00e7\u00e3o de ambos os sexos em cada equipe era obrigat\u00f3ria para se qualificar para o campeonato, e todos os participantes da \u201cFathers Cup\u201d foram recompensados com pr\u00eamios.<\/p>\n

O principal objetivo do campeonato era promover os objetivos da campanha MenCare, promovendo o envolvimento dos homens como pais e cuidadores equitativos e n\u00e3o violentos, a fim de alcan\u00e7ar o bem-estar familiar, a igualdade de g\u00eanero e melhor sa\u00fade para m\u00e3es, pais e filhos.<\/p>\n

Resultados da pesquisa\u00a0Homens e rela\u00e7\u00f5es de g\u00eanero na Ge\u00f3rgia<\/a>,<\/em>\u00a0conduzido com o apoio do UNFPA em 2013, confirma que os estere\u00f3tipos existentes e os clich\u00eas estabelecidos na Ge\u00f3rgia impedem os homens de assumir pap\u00e9is como pais, maridos, parceiros e familiares atenciosos e pr\u00e1ticos. Os resultados tamb\u00e9m mostram que a parcela de homens envolvidos em atividades di\u00e1rias de cuidados infantis, como selecionar livros para seus filhos lerem, conversar com professores na escola, ajudar seus filhos com o dever de casa e lavar suas roupas, n\u00e3o excede cinco por cento.<\/p>\n
