O relat\u00f3rio coincide com um momento importante na hist\u00f3ria do pa\u00eds em que <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mencare.org\/pt\/2017\/12\/13\/sonke-welcomes-passing-labour-laws-amendment-bill-landmark-achievement-parents-south-africa\/\">principais altera\u00e7\u00f5es \u00e0 legisla\u00e7\u00e3o laboral da \u00c1frica do Sul<\/a> permitir\u00e1 uma melhor licen\u00e7a parental para os pais e todos os pais atrav\u00e9s da\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pmg.org.za\/bill\/615\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Projeto de Lei de Emenda \u00e0s Leis Trabalhistas<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>O relat\u00f3rio destaca a import\u00e2ncia do envolvimento dos pais na vida dos filhos, independentemente do estado civil ou de resid\u00eancia. Afastando-se do modelo de d\u00e9ficit de paternidade ausente, o relat\u00f3rio foca no envolvimento de pais biol\u00f3gicos e sociais n\u00e3o residentes na cria\u00e7\u00e3o dos filhos e no cuidado.<\/p>\n<p>Esta edi\u00e7\u00e3o inaugural fornece explica\u00e7\u00f5es sobre os benef\u00edcios para crian\u00e7as, m\u00e3es e pais do envolvimento dos homens nos primeiros mil dias de vida de uma crian\u00e7a e recomenda pontos-chave de interven\u00e7\u00e3o para que os formuladores de pol\u00edticas melhorem o envolvimento dos pais nos cuidados com as crian\u00e7as.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>O <em>Estado dos Pais da \u00c1frica do Sul\u00a0<\/em>relatar documentos que:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A maioria das crian\u00e7as na \u00c1frica do Sul s\u00e3o cuidadas por mulheres como suas cuidadoras prim\u00e1rias. Essas mulheres geralmente s\u00e3o suas m\u00e3es biol\u00f3gicas ou av\u00f3s maternas.<\/li>\n<li>36% das crian\u00e7as na \u00c1frica do Sul vivem na mesma casa que seu pai biol\u00f3gico.<\/li>\n<li>35% das crian\u00e7as na \u00c1frica do Sul vivem na mesma casa que outro homem que n\u00e3o \u00e9 seu pai biol\u00f3gico.<\/li>\n<li>A n\u00e3o resid\u00eancia dos pais biol\u00f3gicos n\u00e3o necessariamente equivale a pais n\u00e3o envolvidos. Quando pais n\u00e3o residentes est\u00e3o envolvidos, geralmente \u00e9 financeiramente, pagando taxas escolares e mantimentos.<\/li>\n<li>Quando os pais s\u00e3o os principais benefici\u00e1rios do Subs\u00eddio de Pens\u00e3o Aliment\u00edcia, eles o usam para as mesmas despesas com cuidados infantis que as m\u00e3es.<\/li>\n<li>Apesar dos altos n\u00edveis de pais que n\u00e3o residem, relatos de viol\u00eancia e neglig\u00eancia por parte dos homens, o papel dos pais cuidadores na vida das crian\u00e7as e das fam\u00edlias \u00e9 muito importante e incontest\u00e1vel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>O relat\u00f3rio \u00e9 produzido por Sonke e pelo HSRC, como uma continua\u00e7\u00e3o de v\u00e1rios anos de trabalho que ambas as organiza\u00e7\u00f5es t\u00eam feito para aumentar o apoio \u00e0s contribui\u00e7\u00f5es dos homens para a parentalidade equitativa de g\u00eanero e n\u00e3o violenta. Ele complementa o\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/sowf.men-care.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Situa\u00e7\u00e3o da Paternidade no Mundo<\/a><\/em>\u00a0relat\u00f3rios produzidos pela campanha global MenCare.<\/p>\n<p>A UNICEF \u00c1frica do Sul tem sido uma parceira-chave na implementa\u00e7\u00e3o sul-africana da campanha MenCare, por meio da parceria com o Departamento Nacional de Desenvolvimento Social.
