No entanto, aumenta o n\u00edvel de benef\u00edcios devidos \u00e0s m\u00e3es para um m\u00e1ximo de 66 por cento dos 54 por cento anteriores.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A nova lei abrange pais e m\u00e3es de crian\u00e7as nascidas por meio de barriga de aluguel e oferece 10 semanas de licen\u00e7a para ado\u00e7\u00e3o para pais adotivos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A licen\u00e7a parental para os pais cria uma oportunidade valiosa para os pais fazerem trabalho de cuidado n\u00e3o remunerado e criarem v\u00ednculos com os filhos. Quando os homens se envolvem mais no trabalho de cuidado infantil, as crian\u00e7as se beneficiam ao receber mais cuidados.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">O coordenador do MenCare, Sonke, est\u00e1 satisfeito que o trabalho consistente de advocacy de v\u00e1rios grupos e indiv\u00edduos da sociedade civil, como COSATU e o Sr. Hendri Terreblanche, tenha resultado nesta legisla\u00e7\u00e3o progressiva.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Estamos especialmente satisfeitos que a linguagem agora se aplique a todos os pais de todas as orienta\u00e7\u00f5es sexuais e identidades de g\u00eanero, j\u00e1 que o texto n\u00e3o se refere a m\u00e3es ou pais, mas a &quot;pais&quot;. Casais do mesmo sexo com filhos agora se qualificam para licen\u00e7a parental e\/ou de ado\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Embora Sonke acolha essa nova lei, meros 10 dias de licen\u00e7a-paternidade n\u00e3o d\u00e3o aos pais a oportunidade de se envolverem t\u00e3o profundamente no trabalho de cuidar dos filhos quanto \u00e0s m\u00e3es.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">O 2018 <\/span><em><a href=\"https:\/\/genderjustice.org.za\/publication\/state-of-south-africas-fathers-2018\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Estado dos Pais da \u00c1frica do Sul<\/span><\/a><\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> relat\u00f3rio publicado pela Sonke Gender Justice e pelo Human Sciences Research Council destaca a import\u00e2ncia do apoio pol\u00edtico ao envolvimento dos pais na vida das crian\u00e7as pequenas, especialmente durante os primeiros mil dias (dois anos).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Esse envolvimento pode estabelecer um v\u00ednculo emocional entre pai e filho para toda a vida.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Evid\u00eancias de pesquisas de pa\u00edses que oferecem licen\u00e7a-paternidade apoiam a ideia intuitiva de que uma conex\u00e3o emocional durante a inf\u00e2ncia levaria a um envolvimento de longo prazo nos cuidados, e que os pais assumiriam mais responsabilidade pelo desenvolvimento de seus filhos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A licen\u00e7a parental \u00e9 vital para a cria\u00e7\u00e3o de v\u00ednculos. Embora 10 dias possam n\u00e3o ser suficientes, Sonke est\u00e1 pedindo a todos os benefici\u00e1rios desta lei que usem esse tempo para criar v\u00ednculos com seus filhos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Sonke Gender Justice e a campanha MenCare Global Fatherhood estabeleceram a meta ambiciosa de que os homens far\u00e3o 50 por cento do trabalho de cuidado globalmente.
