El 8 de diciembre de 2017, MenCare se asocia en Georgia presentado<\/a> El libro de los ni\u00f1os Canci\u00f3n de cuna para Lilly<\/em> (\u10d8\u10d0\u10d5\u10dc\u10d0\u10dc\u10d0 \u10da\u10d8\u10da\u10d8\u10e1\u10d7\u10d5\u10d8\u10e1) en un evento dedicado a la Campa\u00f1a 16 d\u00edas de activismo contra la violencia de g\u00e9nero<\/a>El libro, escrito por Alexandre Lortkipanidze, ilustrado por Sopho Kirtadze y dise\u00f1ado por Ekaterine Tabliashvili, cuenta la historia de la vida cotidiana de una familia normal, en la que la madre y el padre comparten las tareas dom\u00e9sticas y las responsabilidades del cuidado de los ni\u00f1os por igual, y en la que la armon\u00eda se logra a trav\u00e9s del entendimiento mutuo, compartiendo tanto la felicidad como los desaf\u00edos y encontrando juntos formas de superar las dificultades.<\/p>\n

El libro pretende destacar la importancia de la misi\u00f3n de MenCare: promover la participaci\u00f3n de los hombres como padres y cuidadores equitativos y no violentos para lograr el bienestar familiar, la igualdad de g\u00e9nero y una mejor salud para madres, padres e hijos. La campa\u00f1a MenCare en Georgia est\u00e1 implementada por Oficina del UNFPA en Georgia<\/a> en colaboraci\u00f3n con la ONG We Care, en el marco del Programa Conjunto de las Naciones Unidas para la Igualdad de G\u00e9nero, financiado por el Gobierno de Suecia.<\/p>\n

Resultados de la encuesta\u00a0Los hombres y las relaciones de g\u00e9nero en Georgia,<\/em>\u00a0Los estudios, realizados con el apoyo del UNFPA en 2013, confirman que los estereotipos y clich\u00e9s establecidos en Georgia impiden que los hombres asuman roles de padres, esposos, compa\u00f1eros y miembros de la familia que se ocupan de los cuidados y la atenci\u00f3n. Los resultados tambi\u00e9n muestran que la participaci\u00f3n diaria de los hombres en la crianza de los ni\u00f1os de 0 a 6 a\u00f1os se limita a jugar y hablar con ellos.
