Foto cortes\u00eda de PLENT.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>La Comisi\u00f3n Europea est\u00e1 considerando actualmente una <a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/social\/main.jsp?catId=1311&amp;langId=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Directiva sobre la conciliaci\u00f3n de la vida laboral y familiar para padres y cuidadores<\/a>, con el objetivo de permitir que los padres y otros cuidadores equilibren mejor el trabajo y la vida familiar y de fomentar una distribuci\u00f3n m\u00e1s equitativa de las tareas de cuidado entre mujeres y hombres.<\/p>\n<p>La directiva introducir\u00eda 10 d\u00edas laborables de licencia por paternidad y 5 d\u00edas de licencia anual para cuidadores en la Uni\u00f3n Europea (UE), adem\u00e1s de reforzar las disposiciones sobre licencia parental y ampliar el derecho a solicitar modalidades de trabajo flexibles.<\/p>\n<p>Tim Shand de Equimundo, coordinador global de MenCare, <a href=\"http:\/\/web.ep.streamovations.be\/index.php\/event\/stream\/180221-0900-committee-empl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">presentado<\/a> El cuidado de los hombres <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mencare.org\/es\/what-we-do\/advocacy\/paid-parental-leave\/\">Plataforma de licencia parental<\/a> en una audiencia p\u00fablica del Parlamento Europeo sobre la Directiva en febrero de 2018, compartiendo las recomendaciones clave de la plataforma sobre soluciones pol\u00edticas para reconocer y redistribuir el trabajo de cuidado y transformar las desigualdades profundamente arraigadas entre hombres y mujeres.<\/p>\n<p>Tim reconoci\u00f3 que la implementaci\u00f3n de pol\u00edticas de licencia parental por s\u00ed sola no es suficiente para alcanzar la igualdad en el trabajo de cuidado no remunerado.
